DataMasque achieves AWS Security Competency

DataMasque expands collaboration with AWS with the achievement of AWS Security Competency.

AUCKLAND, October 31 2024 - DataMasque announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS)Security Competency, recognising the company's deep technical expertise with security in AWS and proven customer success securing cloud native datastores with its data masking technology.

Enterprise grade data protection

DataMasque works with global enterprise organisations who use AWS in governed industries, such as financial services, government, insurance and telecommunications. AWS is architected to be the most secure global cloud infrastructure on which to build, migrate, and manage applications and workloads. Key DataMasque clients including ADP, Experian, ICICI Lombard, Resolution Life, and Best Western Hotel Group benefit from the scale, security, and reliability of AWS.

Achieving the AWS Security Competency differentiates DataMasque as an AWS Partner with deep industry experience and expertise and highlights DataMasque’s commitment to helping these clients protect their data and meet key regulatory requirements.

Best Western uses DataMasque on AWS to strengthen their security posture against potential data breaches and automate key processes. “DataMasque helps us lower the likelihood of a breach and secures our customers’ data, which means we avoid expensive regulatory fines,” said Joseph Landucci, Director of Technology Management, Best Western Hotels and Resorts.

To achieve AWS Security Competency, DataMasque had to participate in a detailed review and evaluation against the competency requirements, alongside a review of its customer deployments on AWS.

Doubling down on AWS

Working with AWS since DataMasque’s inception in2021, DataMasque is available on AWS Marketplace, a curated digital store front that provides customers of any scale of operations with a streamlined experience for discovering, purchasing, and deploying software solutions that run on AWS.

DataMasque is also participating in the AWS Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Accelerate Programme and was the winner of the Rising Star ISV Partner of the Year Award for Asia Pacific and Japan in 2023.

DataMasque is the only global data de-identification partner for Amazon HealthLake, a HIPAA eligible service for clinical data ingestion, storage, and analysis utilising the Healthcare Interoperability FHIR (R4) specification.

“DataMasque is proud to achieve the AWS Security Competency,” said Grant de Leeuw, CEO and Co-Founder of DataMasque. “With less than 30 software companies globally having achieved this competency in the data protection category, gaining this competency demonstrates the technical superiority of the DataMasque solution coupled with real world customer deployments globally on AWS.”

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Programme to help customers identify AWS Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.

About DataMasque

DataMasque solves the problem facing many modern companies dealing with large amounts of digital customer data; ‘How to use that data securely?’ As businesses look to build new products or upgrade their services, many turn to their own customer data in this testing phase, creating an unnecessary vulnerability for cyber criminals. DataMasque solves this problem by giving businesses a simple way to replace sensitive data with realistic alternatives. This allows businesses the freedom to engineer with ‘synthetic’ customer data, without putting real customer information at risk.
