Data protection is important to EMPLOYERS and their technology team needed to find a solution that would help to protect their sensitive data in lower environments. They required a tool that could mask data consistently across different databases including SQL, Postgres, Oracle, and MongoDB.

DataMasque simply and irreversibly replaces sensitive data with realistic, functional, and consistent values. The run secret functionality was a standout feature, a component that ensures that when the same run secret is used, DataMasque will generate consistent masked values across the different databases, files and environments used by EMPLOYERS.

“The run secret showed we could easily mask the data consistently across all of our platforms,” said the project Business Architect at EMPLOYERS.

“The responsiveness of the team to our questions was a big deal to us. We would expect a response the next day and it would come in 30 minutes. That was unbelievable and a big factor in deciding to go ahead with DataMasque,” said a Sr. Database Administrator at EMPLOYERS.

Data as good as the real thing.

The masked data was realistic and representative of EMPLOYERS claims data meaning that their development and testing teams “won't be able to tell the difference” between masked and unmasked data.

“DataMasque enables our team to conduct comprehensive testing and if they know there are certain test cases that exist in production, they can find these in non-production,” said one of EMPLOYERS Sr. Database Administrators.
